Kicking off the Holidays with a Kick Ass Giveaway.

Win a Kitchenaid Artisan Mixer or a Keurig Single Cup brewer

I may be thirty mumble-mumble years old, but I still get a little bit giddy around the holidays.

What can I say? I love the holiday season. I love the lights, the trees, the presents…the cookies. Oh how I love Christmas cookies.

And every year, I make Big Plans for all the holiday cookies I’m going to bake.

I make a list. Pin some recipes. Spend a giddy hour or so in the grocery store gathering all the ingredients.

Then I put them carefully away in my pantry, anticipating the moment when I’ll get them all back out and bake up a storm, my daughter standing on a chair beside me.

Yep. Biiiiig plans.

Unfortunately, those ingredients are usually still there on Valentine’s Day.

Last year, I actually made some sugar cookie dough. Got out the ol’ Kitchenaid Mixer, mixed up a crap load of butter, sugar, flour…then more sugar and butter.

I even had a host of Christmas cookie cutters waiting for little hands to smush them through the dough.

Then we all got sick. Or at least I did. I ended up tossing the dough in the garbage a few weeks later.

But. Not. This. Year!

This year, I’m going to bake, even if I have to prop my knee up on a bar stool to do it. There will be peanut butter kisses, sugar cookies, and some Russian tea cakes, at least for starters.

There will, dang it! And my KitchenAid Mixer will get a workout.

Are you jealous of my mixer? Well, you don’t have to be, because you can win one, right here, right now.

The ladies of In This Space (including me), are hosting a multi-blog giveaway. Why? Well, because we like you. And we want you to have a good holiday season.

The prizes are pretty awesome. There will be two winners. One will get a KitchenAid Artisan Mixer (you choose the color), the other will get a Keurig Platinum Single Cup Brewer.

Are you excited yet? I certainly am. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment. Everything else is extra credit.

Oh, and don’t forget. You still have time to enter to win a Hickory Farms gift basket too.

You know what is really good? It sounds gross but is so good, I swear!
Take some Ritz, slather on some peanut butter and cover in chocolate. To make it super easy get one of those Wiltons candy cookie molds and it is done in no time flat.

Also, pretzel rods dipped in chocolate and then rolled in sprinkles…or crushed cookies…or salt…or mini chocolate chips…or crushed candy….or diced dried cherries …or even gummy bears.
And if you want to get fancy dip it in melty caramel and then chocolate, but don’t let Torry help with the melty caramel cause it burns little (and big) fingers very quickly. Not that I know anything about that.

I also have a very easy way to make mini chocolate covered smores in bite sizes.

What an awesome giveaway, Amber! Confession: Although I love baking, I *hate* making sugar cookies from scratch. This is really unfortunate because those are my husband’s & older son’s fave cookies. A shiny new mixer would go a long way to straighten me out, though! 😉

I recommend making no bake cookies, they only take a few minutes, literally! I have the recipe that S. Lipps used to always make at FL.

I would love to unwrap the Keurig this year. Life cannot be lived without coffee. Lots of coffee. Especially during the holidays when I’m full into baking mode.
