If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve got a blogger on your holiday shopping list (I, for one, am always accepting gifts). But since we bloggers are often persnickety creatures, figuring out what to buy can be, well, tough.
So here, for your holiday shopping pleasure, are a few gift ideas. Will every blogger like them? I have no idea. But I would, and this is my blog, so there you go.
Pretty Things For Your Blogger’s Neck
I like jewelry. No one ever buys it for me, because I frequently lose things, but I like it all the same. Chances are, your blogger does too.
I found both of these necklaces in a fab little Etsy shop called Kristen’s Custom Creations. I love the messages—and they’re darn cute besides!
Witty Things For Your Blogger’s, Errr, Chest
I’ve heard Stacy and Clinton lecture about how inappropriate message Ts are for those of us who like to think of ourselves as grown women, but I disagree. Especially when the messages are so much fun.
The first, from CafePress is saved from being obnoxious by the fun, vintage treatment. And the one below, from ThinkGeek? Is just plain awesome (plus, it comes in toddler sizes).
Techy Things For Your Blogger’s Purse/Computer Bag
Once you become a blogger, you become a gadget hound. We all ooh and ah over the latest sparkly digital items—especially when at conferences. Here are a few I would like to find in my stocking.
I, like most bloggers I know, have a smartphone. Couldn’t, in fact, exist without my smartphone. But I’d rather have this one. It’s got a spiffy camera, shoots HD video, has 32 gigs of memory…and won’t break, no matter how many times you drop it (it’s made with Kevlar, dudes).
I know I’m supposed to want an iPad. But for blogging? I’d rather have a ‘puter. I need an actual keyboard that works. That’s why I, for one, would rather have one of these babies (although I wouldn’t turn up my nose at a Kindle Fire).
Fun Things For the Blogger Who Can Laugh at Herself
Whether she admits it or not, your blogger secretly hopes to make it big, make a bazillion dollars, and retire to a Caribbean island somewhere. However, most of us are somewhat less successful than that.
That, my friends, is a Titanic piggy bank. A fitting vessel for the dozens of pennies your blogger is sure to earn every year—especially when you consider the hundreds of hours of free time it took to get them.
Is your blogger still waiting for Random House to call? Forget about ’em. Services like Blurb make it easy to create your own book—with nothing other than the genius posts on your favorite blogger’s blog. Be her hero and make one for her.
And that is all the gift giving wisdom I have to offer. So go forth and spend unwisely—the economy is counting on you.
Disclaimer: None of these shops/companies have ever heard of me, and therefore, did not ask to be included in this post. Thoughts, opinions and dorky captions are all mine.
