It’s Time For…Hey It’s Okay Tuesday!

What do you do when you have lots of little thoughts wandering around in your head? Nuggets that need a home, but aren’t worthy of a whole blog post? If you’re me, you link up with Airing My Dirty Laundry for Hey, It’s Okay Tuesday!

This week, it’s okay to:

Hope that your finally potty training toddler doesn’t realize she has to pee one more time just as you put her to bed.

Think that your finally potty training toddler makes that request on purpose so she doesn’t have to go to bed.

Experience unreasonable cravings for McDonalds that can only be satisfied with a Quarter Pounder Meal.

Feel unreasonably disappointed three bites into your quarter pounder when you realize it’s not as good as you remember.

Start hoping for fall the minute the temperature falls beneath 80 degrees.

Remain unable to wrap your head around the fact that kids now return to school in the middle of the summer.

Feel completely drained for an entire week after returning home from BlogHer.

Start wishing for another vacation two hours after returning from BlogHer.

Decide that getting started with Google + just seems like too much work right now.

Feel like a cranky old lady for not wanting to invest in Google + right now.

Wonder why Klout thinks you’re influential about magic.

Wish you actually knew how to do magic.

Wonder why exactly you used to think David Copperfield was so cute.

Decide that it must have been his magical powers.

Hope that your toddler doesn’t wake up at 4 o’clock in the morning again.

Promise yourself that if she does wake up at 4 o’clock, you won’t get up.

Know that you actually will not only get up, but end up spending the rest of the night with her snuggled up next to you in her favorite recliner.

Decide you need to invent some sort of miracle cure for under eye circles.

Wonder why no one has done that already.

Shrug your shoulders and take another slug of wine, deciding to log off your computer and subject your husband to another episode of Glee.

That’s what I’m okay with today. How about you?

It’s okay that I’m completely addicted to allergy medicine.

It’s okay to use wet wipes as a tissue because they have aloe and vitamin E added and are moist and that feels better than dry tissues

It’s okay to let your nose just drip down to your chin which then just drips down to your shirt… that’s still not okay. I’ve been wiping my nose like crazy and….I’m sick of allergies.

Nope. That’s not okay. But understandable. I hope they get better soon!

I’m with you on the Google+ thing. I started down that path and quit. Hey, it’s okay!

It is. There’s only so much social networking time I can commit to, you know?

I need magic, I don’t get Klout and just traded Glee for catching up on Buffy with my 13 yr old – with wine (for me!)

Oh I haven’t seen Buffy in years! I’ll get back to that one one of these days…

I have zero desire to play with google +.

4am? Ugh. At least you can go back to sleep. Mine tend to wake up just a little before I needed to be up anyway. And then I can’t go back to sleep b/c all I can think of is that the alarm will go off in a half hour.

That’s almost worse. I remember thinking we’d be done with the middle of the night wakeups after the infant years. Shows you what I knew.
