Yesterday dawned bright and sunny, with a temperature headed into the sixties. My parents were visiting, and after a long winter of sitting on the couch, all any of us wanted to do was to get out and enjoy some sunshine. So since my mom, a zoo aficionado extraordinaire, has been waiting to take Tori to the zoo since the moment I announced I was pregnant, there was only one thing to do.
Go to the zoo. The Indianapolis Zoo, to be exact.
We got up close and personal with lots of animals:

Sure these monkeys look innocent…but the little one was determined to teach the kids about masturbation.
And grandma and Tori got to spend lots of quality time together.
But this? This picture sums up exactly what made the afternoon so perfect:
It’s moments like that that make all the temper tantrums, sleepless nights and splitting headaches worthwhile. So that was my weekend. How was yours?
