Coming Clean.

Internet, I’ve been blogging for more than two years now. Two years. And for almost all of that time, I have refused to even consider partnering with brands.

I didn’t want to become just another giveaway site. I didn’t want to spend all my time in the blog world reviewing things. In fact, I thought that to do so would be selling out. Going over to the dark side, if you will.

But as I may have mentioned a time or two hundred, I work in advertising. I am the dark side. And because I spend my days (and some nights) moving among the people whose job it is to convince you to buy things, I know for a fact that most of them really dig what they do and what they sell.

Because if you don’t believe in your clients? The days are really long (and really awful).

So, if I am approached by a company I really like—that likes me back— why shouldn’t I work with them? After all, for me to look down on them is pretty hypocritical (I am them).

This is my rather long winded way of saying that you might start seeing a few more reviews and things of that nature around here (like the one I did yesterday). That’s not to say that I’m going to turn this into a review slash giveaway site. That’s not what I’m about.

But if an opportunity presents itself to do something cool—for a product I really love—I’m going to do it.  I hope that’s okay with all of you.

Because people? While this blog of mine is a labor of love and not a money making scheme, it’d be nice to get a little something in return for my efforts every once in a while.

Are we cool?

Absolutely! If you really love a product I just see it as sharing info with your friends. If they compensate you for making the effort to share that info, all the better.

That’s what I figure. Of course, PR people aren’t exactly knocking down my door, so I won’t be bugging you guys with that stuff very often!

I take all the advertising opportunities that I can get. Because free stuff is like money. And money is good!

Money is good. I’m picky about it, though. I have to really want whatever they’re offering…
